Life's true beauty lies in the simplest moments.
The love of a family is life's greatest blessing.

WHY IT MATTERS

Hi, I’m Shelby! Unlike many in the photography industry, being a photographer wasn’t something I had always dreamed of. Growing up, my heart was set on becoming a teacher. I’ve always loved children, and after facing challenges in school myself, I wanted to be the kind of role model that so many teachers were for me. But after a semester of early education classes, I realized public speaking wasn’t my strong suit, and I decided to take a different path.

Fast forward to 2016 when I gave birth to my son, Jackson. Knowing that another child might not be in the cards for me, I became determined to document every single moment with him. That’s when I fell in love with photography. It gave me a sense of purpose at a time when I felt like I had lost myself.

Motherhood has been my greatest adventure, but it hasn’t always been easy. Postpartum anxiety and depression are real, and it’s common to feel lost in the journey of being a mom. For me, holding a camera has always made me feel empowered—like superwoman. And connecting with other growing families, helping them capture their own special moments, fills my heart with joy.

I’m here not just to take photos, but to document your family’s story and give you keepsakes you’ll cherish forever. I’d love to be part of your journey and help you preserve the moments that matter most.

WHAT I DO

For you, life moves quickly. Your days are filled with laughter, love, and sometimes, chaos. Moments slip by in the blink of an eye, and before you know it, everything has changed. That’s where photography comes in—it has the power to freeze time, to capture those fleeting moments that would otherwise be lost.

Photography matters to me because I know what it feels like to want to hold on to a moment forever. After having my son, Jackson, I found myself wanting to document every little detail—his tiny hands, his first smiles, the way he looked at me with those big, curious eyes.

When I photograph families, I’m not just taking pictures; I’m helping you bottle up those precious moments so you can revisit them again and again. From the quiet, tender moments to the loud, joy-filled ones, every photo tells a part of your story. And those stories deserve to be remembered.

So, why does photography matter? Because it allows you to pause, to reflect, and to treasure the love and connection that make up your world. It’s not just about a beautiful image—it’s about capturing what matters most to you, and that’s something to take for granted.

My biggest accomplishment is becoming a Mom to my redheaded freckled faced son Jackson.

MY SON

I have a soft spot for animals and love bringing home new fur babies! Benny is our purebred Ragdoll Cat, Max is our yellow Labrador Retriever, Rocco is our Bloodhound, and we recently added Greg our Bearded Dragon to the group!

MY FURBABIES

Our favorite thing to do as a family is cruise! At this point the Bahamas feel like our second home.

In 2023, I picked up my first Colleen Hoover book and the rest is history! I now average reading about three to four books a month. If I am not reading you might find me crocheting a baby blanket or stuffed animal for fun.

If I wasn't a photographer I would love to flip houses! When I drive by an old abandoned home I can quickly see it's potential. The older the home the better in my opinion.
