When Sara reached out to me a couple of months ago to plan a King George family photo session in celebration of Thomas turning four, I was thrilled! Capturing milestones like these is always such a joy. However, this session brought its own unique challenges—and memories—thanks to the unpredictable spring weather here in King George.

The day started out absolutely beautiful. I even had my sandals on, expecting a warm and sunny session. But like many spring days here, the weather took a sudden turn, bringing winds and chill. Despite the less-than-ideal conditions, we embraced the moment and made the most of it. Sometimes, it’s these unexpected elements that make sessions even more memorable.

Thomas, the star of this session, reminds me so much of my own son. He’s full of energy, loves Power Rangers, and has a heartwarming bond with his mom. This was my second time photographing this wonderful family, so I came prepared with a few tricks up my sleeve—including lollipops as a post-session treat! Thomas definitely kept me on my toes, but that’s part of what made this King George family photo session so special. His spirited personality pushed me to get creative, and together we captured beautiful, authentic moments that truly reflect their family’s love and joy.

Thomas, I hope you had an amazing fourth birthday! Your energy and bright spirit bring so much happiness to your family. I feel incredibly honored to help document these moments for you all.
